Where in the World is Kokomo, Indiana?

If you live around the area, you should know where Kokomo, IN is! For those of you from outside area, you may have never heard of Kokomo. Unless, of course, you’ve heard the Beach Boys sing Kokomo. Sorry to say, they weren’t singing about our Kokomo!

Our Kokomo is located in Central Indiana, about 50 miles north of Indianapolis. Kokomo is the commercial, industrial and geographic center of Howard County. It is also the county seat and the “hub” of Howard County, with over half of the county’s residents.

As you can see from the map below, other communities surrounding Kokomo include, Cassville, Center, Greentown, Hemlock, New London, Oakford, Plevna, Russiaville and West Middleton in Howard County.

Whether you prefer a city setting, a small town atmosphere or a little piece of country, Kokomo and Howard County offer it all! (Except the Beach Boys Kokomo!)
