Kokomo Celebrates National Night Out

Tonight, Wednesday, August 5, is “National Night Out” and Kokomo is going all out to increase awareness about crime in the Kokomo area and how to prevent crime from happening around us.
Residents across the country are asked to spend the evening outside. Lock your doors, turn on your outside lights and spend the evening outside with your neighbors.
Some neighborhoods are even having special events – block parties, games for the children, visits from the police, etc. And for the second year in a row, you can wrap up the evening with a free evening of swimming at the “Bash at the Beach” at Kokomo Beach from 7-9 PM.
Send a message to criminals in our midst! Let them know we are fighting back! Join your neighbors and all of Kokomo by participating in “National Night Out”.

Around Kokomo – Fair Season Continues!

We’re into county fair season in the Kokomo area!
A couple of events continue through the week-end – Howard County 4H Fair and the Circus City Festival in Peru. (See details below.)
Before getting to the new events coming in the next week, I just want to let you know about the Pioneer Weddings being held at the Howard County Fair. They are scheduled at 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM Friday the 17th at the Little White Church in Pioneer Village. Sounds like fun to me! Read More→
