See Kokomo Homeowners Fight Foreclosures Part 2 for the second video.

This is the final video from Fox News in Tampa Bay, Florida, with good information that may help Kokomo homeowners who are facing foreclosure. As in the other videos, Kathy Fountain of Fox News interviews two Florida lawyers on the topic “Can You Fight a Foreclosure?”

In this video, some of the highlights this video:

  • Finding an attorney with knowledge and experience in foreclosure defense.
  • Avoid foreclosure rescue companies.
  • Stay in the house.

Once again let me remind you that laws governing the foreclosure process vary from state to state. Foreclosure laws in Florida may be different from those in Indiana. As I watched this video, nothing jumped out at me as being different from Indiana; but I’m not a lawyer either.

I’m sure you noticed the one message that came over loud and clear is that you should not abandon your home. You are in a better position to negotiate with your lender/servicer when you live in the house.

This is the second of three videos from Fox News in Tampa Bay, Florida. The information in these videos may help Kokomo homeowners who are facing foreclosure. As in the last video, Kathy Fountain of Fox News interviews two Florida lawyers on the topic “Can You Fight a Foreclosure?”

In this video, some of the highlights of the discussion are:

  • Why you should stay in the house?
  • What should a renter do if they rent a house going through foreclosure?
  • A major way you can delay a foreclosure.

Once again let me remind you that laws governing the foreclosure process vary from state to state. Foreclosure laws in Florida may be different from those in Indiana. As I watched this video, nothing jumped out at me as being different from Indiana; but I’m not a lawyer either.

I just ran across a series of three videos by Fox News in Tampa Bay, Florida that may help Kokomo homeowners who are facing foreclosure. In these videos, Kathy Fountain of Fox News interviews two Florida lawyers on the topic “Can You Fight a Foreclosure?”

In this first video,  some of the highlights of the discussion are:

  • Should you fight foreclosure?
  • Should you stay in the house?
  • What do you do when your loan servicer won’t talk with you?

Now, as you view these videos, keep in mind that laws governing the foreclosure process vary from state to state. Foreclosure laws in Florida may be different from those in Indiana. As I watched this video, nothing jumped out at me as being different from Indiana; but I’m not a lawyer either.

Something that wasn’t mention in the video is that you need to document every attempt you make to talk to your lender/loan servicer. Keep a note book near the phone and write down every communication you have – both written and over the phone. Note the date, the time, who you spoke with and what was discussed. If you leave a message, get a buzy signal or no answer – jot that down, too. If your call is transferred, make sure you jot down the name and phone number of each person. The more details you get, the better!
