Meet Betty
Betty Byrnes is a full-time REALTOR® who works for FC Tucker/Tomlinson REALTORS® in Kokomo, Indiana. She has been a licensed REALTOR® since 2002, starting her real estate career in San Diego, CA, prior to moving to Kokomo in January 2004.
Betty also holds the designation Accredited Consultant in Real Estate® or ACRE®. She was the first in the state to earn this prestigious designation. As of this date, there are only two other agents in Indiana who hold the ACRE® designation.
As an ACRE®, Betty offers you choices in real estate services – choices that are generally unheard of in real estate.

Besides her interest in real estate, Betty is somewhat a “techie”. Over the years Betty has often said if she were to be reincarnated, she would come back to life as a “techie” – thus her interest in keeping you informed through LiveInKokomo and AtHomeInKokomo.
Betty has recently become interested in the marketing of horse properties. She noticed that horse properties for sale in Central Indiana are not being market to the buyers who really want them. Betty is the first to admit she knows little about horse properties; but she does know marketing and how to market a horse farm. In fact, she has developed a mini-site to fill that very need – Central Indiana Horse Country
Betty is not only an experienced REALTOR®, she is also an experienced “mover”! She has moved thirteen times in her adult life. That gives her a unique perspective of all the ups and downs of buying and selling a house, of packing and moving, putting down new roots, etc. She knows what it takes to get the job done, not only as a REALTOR® but also as a “mover”.
As mentioned above, Betty has lots of experience as a “mover.” She was born in Portland, Oregon. As an infant, her parents moved to Denver, Colorado, where she was raised.
After high school, Betty moved to Nebraska for college and with the exception of a side-trip to California, has lived in the Midwest all of her adult life.
Prior to becoming a REALTOR®, Betty was in education for many years – first as a teacher and then as a Special Education Consultant.
She has been married thirty plus years to Paul Byrnes who manages the local Culligan dealership. Since their move to Kokomo, Paul completed his Bachelor of Science degree at IU-Kokomo. For all you golfers out there… Paul is an avid golfer and has only one complaint about local golfing – WINTER!
Paul and Betty have one son, Ryan, who lives in San Diego with his lovely wife Michele. Ryan, graduated from Cal State-San Diego in May 2009. He now works for the city of Chula Vista – a suburb of San Diego. Michele is also a Cal State-San Diego graduate. She works for American Specialty Health and is a part-time student.
