That Was The Week That Was – TW3

By Betty

sickBack in the olden-days there was a TV show called That Was The Week That Was or TW3 for short. It was a BBC satirical view of the “establishment” in Britian. I don’t remember much about it except its “catchy” name. You can read a little about it on Wikipedia at the link above or do a Google search if you are so inclined.

For this article, I’m just stealing the headline… That Was The My Week That Was!

I seem to have lost a week – no mid-week posting, no Photo Friday,  nothing since Monday’s Wild Horse and Burro Adoption announcement! And I wrote that one last Saturday!

It seems I woke up last Sunday with half my face swollen like a basketball and in a world of pain! Hubby’s golf game temporarily delayed so he could call the dentist and run into town to get an antibiotic and a blessed pain reliever!

Monday came and went with a trip to the dentist and an oral surgeon and back home to nurse my pain. Of course there was business to take care of – so between naps and popping pills I did what I could via phone, fax and email. Even in this day and age, there are some things that just can’t be done remotely, so my wonderful broker met with clients, wrote an offer and submitted it for me. And that evening he attended an inspection for me. Thanks, Dave!

The next couple of days were more of the same – doing what I could via technology and Dave and others pitching in to help me. Finally by Thursday I was looking and feeling half-way human again! But with all the “catch up” I was facing, posting Photo Friday or anything else online had to go on the back burner!

So, now that I’m more or less caught up… Showed houses yesterday and today, wrote an offer today. Now I’m ready to move on to the next project - Photo Friday a couple days late!
