Christmas in July? Oh, My!

By Betty

First an email about 2010 calendars, then record setting low temperatures. Brrrrr! Now I find out Santa’s coming to Kokomo!

I quickly checked the calendar to make sure I didn’t have a few “senior” months. No, it is indeed July! A chilly July, but July none the less.

Susan Branch 2010 CalendarFirst up, let me tell you about the calendars – or rather the website where you can find calendars and a whole lot more. SusanBranch.com is loaded with all kinds of information: recipes, household tips, etc. The thing I like best about the site is its whimsical design. Its a comforting site – it’s all about heart and home. She even offers some “freebies”.

I need to tell you, I’ve never ordered from her – but I subscribe to her newletter. Go to her site, check it out and if you like what you see subscribe to updates. Don’t worry, she doesn’t spam you! I think the updates come every 2-3 months – and I’m always delighted to get them.

Now on to Santa coming to Kokomo…

Santa-headIt seems that Applebee’s and United Way of Howard County have teamed up with Santa for a “Breakfast with Santa” United Way benefit. It is this Saturday, July 25th from 8:00-10:00 AM at Applebee’s. Seating is limited, so call 765-457-6691 or stop by the United Way office at 210 W. Walnut in downtown Kokomo. Ticket are $10 for adults, $5 for children, free for children 2 and under. Hurry – don’t miss your chance to have breakfast with Santa and help a good cause!
