Save Money in Kokomo as Temperatures Rise

May is here and with it, hopefully the rain will stop and temperatures will start to rise. Many Kokomo residents want to switch on the AC at the first sign of a warm day! And that includes my “Dearly Beloved”! Grrrr! Cooped up all winter with the windows closed and the first 70°+ day he wants to shut everything up again!

On to the topic of cooling the house and saving money… Did you know you can knock 6-8° off the temperature of a room simply by running your ceiling fan “counter-clockwise” during the “cooling” season?

By running the fan blades “counter-clockwise”, you can delay running the air conditioner in the spring/early summer. And when you do turn on the AC, you can run it at a higher temperature setting! You will feel cooler and save money on running the AC!
