Change of Plans for BBC-WHYS
This is an update: The BBC Comes to Kokomo
The BBC crew that was supposed to join Madeleine and Shaimaa in Indiana, is heading back to London instead. They had been in Mexico City for about a week. Their original intent was to learn first hand about the impact of drug trade and growing violence on life in Mexico. Instead they arrived as news of the flu epidemic was unfolding.
While in Mexico City they’ve covered the flu epidemic and have decided to head straight back to London. They don’t want to make any stops that might jeopardize the health of others.

The crew that visited Kokomo is headed to Indianapolis tomorrow (Thursday) and will be there a couple of days.

BBC World Have Your Say (WHYS) is in Kokomo this week. Kokomo seems an unlikely place for the Brits to visit. But according to their first posting, they chose Kokomo for two reasons:
- The auto industy and its place in Kokomo.
- The effect of the first 100 days of the Obama administration on small town America.
