House Value is in the Eyes of…

By Betty

The Value of a Kokomo Home is…

You’ve probably heard the saying, “Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.” Well, the value of a house is much the same. Take a look here at how the same house is “seen differently” by the homeowner, the lender, the buyer, the appraiser and of course by the Howard County tax assessor.

A Kokomo house as the seller sees it…

This is what a Kokomo buyer sees…

Finally, a look at a Kokomo house through the eyes of…

The Howard County tax assessor!

(The way our taxes are here in Howard County, we definitely think our local assessors are using a ViewMaster or something else to look at our houses!)

Ultimately the value of a house depends on…

  • who’s looking at it
  • why they are looking at it!

In terms of buying and selling a house, the true market value of a Kokomo house is the price a buyer will pay for it and what a seller accepts for it. It isn’t what a buyer offers. It isn’t what a seller wants. The market value of the house is the price a buyer and seller agree upon.

If you are ready to buy a house or sell a house, give me a call at 765-513-0354 or email me. We will get you started on the path to learning about the “true” market value of real estate!
